The unexpected power of Nick Cave’s “Baby, I’m On Fire"

On a walk yesterday, I started listening to "Nocturama" (2003), by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, and I finished it on another walk today. According to my computer, I copied it to my hard drive in October 2019 but have not listened to it since. In fact, I'm not even sure when I got the album or how often I'd ever listened to it before. So today, I may have immediately noticed the dissonant sound and driving bass line of the last song, "Babe, I'm On Fire", but I was completely unprepared for the song to maintain its power and the dark humor of its lyrics for almost 15 minutes!
