In my Nick Cave listening, I've been highly amused by his wit, especially in his rhymes, as in the rhymes for "Gibraltar" in "Rock of Gibraltar" ("Nocturama", 2003): "falter", "alter", "altar", and "Malta". There's also the rhyme of "hysteria" and "wisteria" in "Nature Boy" ("Abattoir Blues", 2004). The title of that album also includes this wonderful passage: "I went to bed last night and my moral code got jammed. / I woke up this morning with a Frappucino in my hand." That's just a small selection of the rhymes and lines that made me laugh with pleasure while I have been walking and listening to Cave in the past three days.
