Today, I caught up with the "The History of Africana Philosophy" series of "The History of Philosophy without any Gaps", with episode 101 on "Crossing Paths: The Last Years of Malcolm X and Martin Luther King, Jr." I particularly enjoyed episodes 8-10 on early Ethiopian philosophy; episode 56 on the fascinating and influential Edward Blyden (1832-1912), who was born in St. Thomas, lived for a long time in Liberia, and died in Sierra Leone; and episode 92 on the equally peripatetic Claudia Jones (1915-1964), who was born in Trinidad, grew up in the United States, and was later deported, before dying in London as "the mother of the Notting Hill Festival".
