Yesterday, Andrea found a lost dog with no collar. I checked online and saw that in Basel-Stadt, she should call the Tierfundstelle (lost animal office) or the Veterinäramt (veterinary office) – which is also what a police officer Andrea talked to said. The Tierfundstelle then said they could read the dog's chip if we could get the dog there, and the Veterinäramt said the same (after first asking, "What do you want from us?"). As we set out on foot to the Veterinäramt, a man across the street shouted that it was his dog. He'd heard from the Veterinäramt where his dog had been found and was driving around looking for him.
