But I will vote for "Ishi" because at least it is a little bit different and odd, even though the last stanza is sentimental.Suzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13629979942016781958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20782819.post-73663533585147221252009-04-29T19:50:00.000+02:002009-04-29T19:50:00.000+02:00I'm nearly unable to vote for any of them, but I t...I'm nearly unable to vote for any of them, but I think I can manage some small measure of support for R.T. The one that, this week, made me say "I like that!" out loud.

I was torn between it, Prologue of the Rambling Sort, and A Pedantry.

Prologue was really fun & reminds me of the movie "Moulin Rouge," which I love, & which in turn reminds me of a lyric from the musical "Chess" -- "...you should be dreaming & scheming, too clever by half...."

Pedantry was really thought-provoking & I loved the line "plus the baby would have to be sedated." Hilarious. In the end, however, it was that line's awkward juxtaposition to the rest of the poem -- what made it stand out in the first place -- that made me opt against it.Katy Loebrichhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00107094782074333133noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20782819.post-82086732465913897152009-04-23T11:25:00.000+02:002009-04-23T11:25:00.000+02:00Rita Dove!Rita Dove!Michael Listeninghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10016645456304376847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20782819.post-74233890266310354832009-04-22T23:43:00.000+02:002009-04-22T23:43:00.000+02:00Perillo up to the last line, so it's a vote for Ri...Perillo up to the last line, so it's a vote for Rita DoveColin Willhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15627539650929533832noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20782819.post-28414489195214847842009-04-21T19:17:00.000+02:002009-04-21T19:17:00.000+02:00My sweet Lucia Perillo.
